From the Desk of Fr. Obet
Dear Parishioners and Friends, Peace in the Risen Lord. As I reflect on the past 13 years, my heart is filled with gratitude and fond memories. Serving as your pastor has been more than just a role-it has been a true blessing, a journey of faith, and community that I will carry with me always. Together, we’ve celebrated joyous milestones, supported one another through struggles, and grown in our walk with Christ. St. Patrick Church has truly endeavored to be a synodal parish community. Your kindness, resilience, and unwavering faith have continually inspired me, and I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me over the years. Leaving St. Patrick’s is bittersweet. While I look forward to retirement and to new opportunities ahead, I will deeply miss the daily presence of this wonderful community-the laughter, the prayers, the food and fellowship, the shared moments of grace. Please know that each of you has left a lasting mark on my heart. I pray for your continued growth in faith, love, and unity. May St. Patrick Church continue to flourish as a place of hope and sanctuary for all who walk through its doors. I have come full circle in my 30 years of priestly ministry in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. I started as parochial vicar in 1995-97 at St. Patrick’s and I am retiring here as pastor this year, 2025. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives all these years, fifteen years in total. I am eternally grateful for the memories we’ve made together. Blessings, Fr. Obet Andrey
